ASTM A312 Gr Tp347h is an austenitic stainless steel. It has chromium and nickel content which give it the corrosion resistant properties.
347H stainless steel tubing comprises carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorous, sulfur, chromium and nickel. This combination makes it a very durable and strong material that is suitable for high-temperature applications. It's also corrosion-resistant in extreme conditions. Its tensile strength ranges between 515 and 860 MPa, and its yield strength ranges between 205 and 20 MPa making it well-suited to many mechanical structures. In addition, it's an alloy that maintains high ductility while under stress, so it can be formed into many shapes and sizes with great precision. The chemical composition of 347H stainless steel tubing makes it incredibly versatile while remaining incredibly strong.
347H SS tubing is a popular choice for applications in various industries, from automotive to food processing. Its notable properties make it highly efficient, durable, and easy to work with. Its superior corrosion resistance attribute makes it especially suitable for handling acidic substances. It has excellent formability, weldability and machinability, which also makes it ideal for custom tube fabrications and heavy-duty constructions. In addition to its uses as automotive exhausts, it is also used in heat exchangers and components of nuclear power plants due to its toughness in extreme temperatures. With its superior chemical composition of chromium, nickel and carbon, this tubing provides exceptional strength while still maintaining a good level of ductility.
